For those that oppose censorship, here are two posts that were censored from the Greensboro News & Record's FedEx Discussion Board:

One more thing..... Ron....you stated..."We just do not think it makes sense
for this community to sell it's soul to replace one OLD world economy for
another!" Well...I agree about not replacing one old world economy with another,
but your way off to regard FedEx as old world economy. In fact, your so far
off that I have a little story for you to read. It might help put you back
on course. Wired magazine recently did a story about the economy...titled...
The
New Blue Chips: Forget the Dow. Here comes the New Economy!

All I can say about you quoting an article three years old like it's new
is, ROTFLMAOAY! (Rolling on the floor laughing my a** off at you! - in case
you didn't get it.) You said "Wired magazine recently did a story about the
economy...titled...The New Blue Chips: Forget the Dow. Here comes the New
Economy!"
My guess is, you saw the "June 6th" part of the date, but neglected to see
the "1998" part. Things have changed since then. In June of 1998, Yahoo was
selling at about $40 a share. It at one point went above $200, then dove
down to a low of $11.37. My point? Many of those "Top 40" stocks they picked
have had the bottom drop out. Even your vaunted FDX stock is down by over
half from less than a year ago (Sept. 2000 - $49.85, Today's quote - $24.89,
a loss of over 50%.)
Sorry, Ravin, but Nostradamus you ain't.
Oh, yeah, your claims you made in rebuttle to Ronn88 are about
180 degrees off the mark. Every single one of them was disproved way before
you came on board. An example: You said "The package carrier also will pay
millions of dollars in taxes to state and county government for items not
covered by incentives, including trucks, cargo tugs, computer systems and
other hub equipment not physically part of the proposed building."
Here's an excerpt from the RTS Report the pro-FedEx people have been waving
about: "FedEx is exempted from adhering to low-bid contracting requirements,
thus ensuring that the company will be able to purchase specialized computer
and sorting equipment from its own out-of-state vendors." (Pg. 47; RTS
report)
I can't wait to see you twist this one around to your own warped view of
the world.
